This is the current list of the mushrooming events offered through Mushrooms for Health in 2012. Check back often for schedule updates as new events are added.  I will also try to list events of the Maine Mycological Association here.  In most cases, the sponsoring organization will manage registration.

  Wild Mushrooms; A forager's Dream & Potential Pitfalls

  Come on out to Grand Lake Stream for an evening lecture on wild mushrooms and focused on an introduction to the common Forest mushrooms of the fall. Plan on bringing whatever is fruiting that day in tour neighborhood. Then plan on coming back the next day for a full workshop on mushroom identification for the forager.   This workshop is designed to give a participant the basic skills to learn how to identify mushrooms and expose you to some of the common seasonal edible and toxic mushrooms.   Medicinal Mushrooms of Maine; Identification and Use

  Join us in Turner Maine at Nezinscot Farm for a day-long workshop devoted to learning to know and how to use Maine's medicinal mushrooms. The day will be a blend of lecture and hands-on practical experience and will include time in the woods. Medicinal mushroom products will be available for sale.   Mushroom Identification for Foragers

  Join us out on beautiful Wolfe's Neck outside of Freeport for a day-long class devoted to mushroom identification and addressing the fall mushrooms along Maine's coast. We'll spend the morning learning the major groups of mushrooms and a common language to describe them. After lunch we will walk the trails and collect the seasonal mushrooms to reinforce the mornings learning. Fee.
